TÜRSABsigned a protocol with the TurkishGreat National Assembly for thebuilding owned by the NationalPalaces and situated in the YıldızPark next to the Yıldız Porcelainfactory and took over the operationof the building for a 4-year period.Başaran Ulusoy acknowledged thehelp of the Chairman of Turkish GreatNational Assembly Köksal Toptan inthe attempts to offer the facility tothe benefit of the tourism and gavethe following informations about thebuilding: “After the completion of therestoration project of the existingbuilding, we will be able to host 800persons. The restaurant locatedbetween Beşiktaş and Ortaköy willfill up the void in the area. We planto open by spring the restaurantwith a garden offering the view of thebeauties of the Bosphorus.”Reminding that the facility to serveunder the name of “Yıldız Restaurant”is located next to the Yıldız Porcelainfactory with a past dating backto more than 100 years, Ulusoyexplained the following:“The factory was built in 1894 toproduce ceramic to the palace. Theproduction is still going on. Our aimis to take the tourists coming to therestaurant to the factory and showthem the most important handicraftof our country and how the porcelainis produced. Sales will be made at thegift shop. Amacımız yalnızcaİstanbul’u 2010’a hazırlamakdeğil, kentin geleceğine dairdaha birçok proje üretmek.Kentin çehresini bozmadan,geçmişine yakışır bir görünümkazanmasını hedefliyoruz.TÜRSAB olarak, turizm sektörüolarak, kültürümüzün, tarihimizin,turistik ve doğal güzelliklerimizinkoruyucusuyuz.”added he: “We will manage to standdespite all negative facts.
