The student will be able to identifyand classify oil circuit breakers, primary metering, polemounted three phase reclosers, single and three phasetransformer banks and capacitor banks and pole mountedand platform mounted regulators. The student operatingand maintaining OCB’s, primary metering installations,reclosers, transformers and transformer banks, capacitorbanks and regulators. The student will be able to identify,operate and maintain manual and automatic controllersfor OCB’s, reclosers, capacitor banks and regulators. Thestudent will study and be able to discuss the theory of operation,application and testing of regulators and regulatorbypass switches. Prerequisites: EET 1760C and EET2765C. Lab Fee. The student will demonstrateproficiencies in fanning and covering of energizedlines and live equipment for re-conductoring/pulling operations;rigging of rollers and wire pulling devices; serving ofcables and ropes for pulling; care, use and insulation ofinsulated mechanical jumpers; sagging, transfer of, tyingin and dead-ending of pulled conductors; and installing ofinline and pole mounted disconnects.
