The College also providesspecialized services for business and industry.ACCELERATED/ALTERNATIVE EDUCATIONSFCC provides a number of options to assist you in accelerating your program of study or gaining credit through alternativemethods. A maximum number of 45 credit hours may be earned toward graduation requirements through independent study,challenge exams, and other accelerated/alternative education mechanisms. (Writing requirements must be met.) Theseoptions include:Advanced Placement Credit (AP) - is awarded if you submit AP test results from the College Entrance ExaminationBoard with scores of 5, 4, or 3. (Send an official copy of AP scores to the Office of the Registrar.)College Level Examination Program (CLEP) - You may earn college credit by scoring above minimum requiredlevels on CLEP tests. No more than six credits can be transferred in each of the following areas:EnglishHumanitiesMathematicsNatural SciencesSocial Science - HistoryYou may receive credit for courses with a letter grade of “S” indicating satisfactory completion. Earned CLEP creditsare not computed in grade point averages.
