naturalnatural Gas TransmissionGasTransmissionIn Hungary, only FGSZ Földgázszállító Zrt. (FGSZ) has alicence for natural gas transmission and system operation.Both activities are carried out under market conditionsregulated by law. The company possesses and operatesthe high-pressure natural gas system covering the entireterritory of Hungary. Aside from domestic natural gastransmission, FGSZ is also engaged in transit activitiesto Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and export to Romaniaand Croatia. In international comparison, the company’spipeline network represents the highest technologicalstandards. FGSZ ranks among the region’s companies ofstrategic importance. Its dynamism and efficiency makethe company one of the most significant natural gassuppliers in Europe.Competitive advantages– Good geographical position: Due to its geographicallocation, FGSZ also has a key role in terms of regional transittransmission.– High quality standards: The company implemented acertified quality assurance system in accordance with the ISO9001 standard in 1997. The certification was issued by SGS(SGS Hungary Kft. in Hungary) which is a highly acclaimedcertification company in the oil and gas industry. Theoperation of the quality assurance system is reviewed semiannuallyby SGS Hungary Kft. and annually by the HungarianOffice for Mining and Geology.– Stable cash flow: The operation of FGSZ’s high-pressurenatural gas transmission grid of approximately 5,800km – covering the entire territory of Hungary – and thediscrimination-free sale of its capacity and supplementaryservices provide a stable cash-flow for the group.– ”Best Employer”: FGSZ Zrt. also has considerable meritsas an employer. In 2009 the company achieved first placein its category in the Best Employer Survey conducted byVilággazdaság-Hewitt and also won the first place in theindustry competition.
