ITE Fair - an opportunity for promotion<br />
The Ho Chi Minh City International Travel<br />
Expo is a regional and national event,<br />
held annually in Ho Chi Minh City since<br />
2005. Joined this year by Myanmar’s<br />
tourism sector, ITE 2011 under the<br />
theme of "Four countries as one destination"<br />
took place on September 14-17 to<br />
promote Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and<br />
<strong>Vietnam</strong> as a single tourist destination.<br />
The purpose of ITE is not only to<br />
strengthen the cooperation and development<br />
of tourism in the four countries to<br />
exploit the potential and develop tourism<br />
products of each country, but also to create<br />
opportunities for tourist agents and<br />
contributors to access and exchange<br />
business cooperation with partners from<br />
key markets and potential customers in<br />
the region.<br />
Well-prepared and nicely decorated booths<br />
have made the difference at this ITE 2011.<br />
From mysterious Bayon smile to the<br />
curved roof of Champa flower land’s temples<br />
to the traditional lanterns on Hoi An<br />
ancient tiles, each store contains a unique<br />
color to attract customers. Located in the<br />
central location, <strong>Vietnam</strong> <strong>Airlines</strong>’ spacious<br />
booth has a modern and elegant decoration,<br />
with a stylized lotus and posters advertising<br />
London as the new destination.<br />
Many meetings with clients were held to<br />
seek opportunity for cooperation and investment.<br />
Many special promotion programs<br />
were launched on the occasion of<br />
the show: discount of 15-46% on Business<br />
Class in some international routes, introducing<br />
new products...<br />
In focus was the promotion program<br />
"Hello, London - a golden opportunity,<br />
easy to enjoy", held especially on the occasion<br />
of opening direct flights between<br />
<strong>Vietnam</strong> and the United Kingdom with<br />
the special fare of $599 USD for each return<br />
ticket.<br />
Attending the exhibition for the first time,<br />
Golden Lotus Plus Program had attracted<br />
attention by many visitors thanks<br />
to a special promotion program involving<br />
the award of 2,000 miles for GLP new<br />
registered members at the fair and various<br />
publications and advertising images.<br />
As an expected result, more than 150<br />
new members and many other organizations,<br />
agencies have learnt about the<br />
GLP program.<br />
Attending ITE Fair is a great opportunity<br />
for tourism and travel companies to promote<br />
their products. In addition to upgrading<br />
service quality, participating in<br />
the national event will help <strong>Vietnam</strong> <strong>Airlines</strong>,<br />
including Golden Lotus Plus Program,<br />
come closer to customers and<br />
adopt policies to meet customer and<br />
market requirements.<br />
ITE 2011 is considered a great success,<br />
with each participating business making<br />
contribution, including <strong>Vietnam</strong> <strong>Airlines</strong><br />
