Extraction and filter techniques in useEquipment for a welding and grindingworkshop in a metal processing operation. The challenge:Set up 22 welding and grinding boothswith low pressure and high vacuumextraction including exhaust arms, telescopic arms, welding tables andgrinding tables. The solution:12 welding booths were constructed usingblack suspended curtains. Convenientaccess to the booth was providedby red strips on the front that could bepushed to one side. The booths are evacuated using a highvacuum system, so that extraction takesplace directly at source. There was adirect extraction connection to the weldinggun. In addition, a piping system was installedabove all the booths. Depending on therequirements, exhaust arms or telescopicarms were attached to the piping of eachbooth. This allowed the workspace tobe equipped in a space-saving mannerand ensured high contaminant captureefficiency.Soundproofed booths were built in thecentral part of the workshop. Each ofthese booths was connected via a centralpiping system to a System 9000 with25.000 m³/h. The booths were speciallydesigned as grinding booths and thusequipped with the best possible soundinsulation. In the booths KEMPER grindingtables were set up and connected tothe pipe work.By combining welding work stations withdifferent job extraction methods togetherwith grinding, the best possible workprocessing was achieved with shortdistances. The combination of the filtersystems is also very flexible and costsaving in operation.85 |
