BE A ZOOKEEPER $60
What’s it like to look after wild animals? Get a taste of the
zookeeping life when you work and talk firsthand with our
zookeepers. Prepare meals in the commissary, try to outwit
the monkeys, and learn the details of caring for these exotic
creatures. Scheduled activities will vary. Limited group size.

ANIMAL PHOTOGRAPHY $17/SESSION
Join us for an evening stroll at the Valley Zoo and be guided
to some special photographic opportunities. Enjoy the
evening light, and an opportunity to see the Valley Zoo
residents in the cooler evening weather. All photographic
skill levels are welcome. Please note that this is not a
photography instruction course, but rather a guided walk
which offers photographic opportunities.

FINE FEATHERED FRIENDS (Ages 3-5) $23
Have a bird-tastic time at the Zoo with our feathered residents!
We’ll meet chickens, quail and doves, visit the birds of prey,
and make a treat for our parrots to eat. See and touch feathers
and eggs, and make a flying bird craft to take home! Adult
attendance is optional. If an adult is staying with the child,
then unregistered children may not attend with the adult.

Birthday Parties

Payment is required at the time of booking.

• Programs are two hours in length
• Parties are offered year ‘round unless otherwise stated.
• Maximum 20 guests/party (includes parents and siblings)
for “Be a Zookeeper” parties. At least 2 adults must stay
with the children.
• Maximum 30 guests/party (including parents & siblings)
for other birthday parties. At least 4 adults must stay
with the children.
ANIMAL ALPHABET (Ages 4–6)
Be an alphabet detective. Search for hidden letters that
will lead you to visit a variety of animals. Give a treat to
an animal, and have some hands-on encounters with some
of the creatures you meet along the way.
ZOO SAFARI (Ages 4–12)
Put on your safari hat – we are heading out on a grand
adventure! During this ‘zoo-mazing’ adventure you will
get close to the animals with encounters and enrichments.
Tour the Zoo, meet some critters and have a howlin’
safari-style birthday.
ZOO CLUE (Ages 7-9)
Solve a mystery at the Edmonton Valley Zoo. Your program
leader will play the part of a master Zoo detective as
children are led on a scavenger hunt for clues. During their
investigation, they’ll meet and touch a variety of animals.
BE A ZOOKEEPER (Ages 7–12)
Zookeepers are always busy! They prepare meals, invent
toys for animals and care for sick and orphaned animals.
You and your party will find out first hand what it’s like
to be a zookeeper.
