everyday. In this exhibit visitors will have <strong>the</strong> opportunity<br />
to f<strong>in</strong>d out more about <strong>the</strong> <strong>City</strong> Arts Centre <strong>in</strong>structors,<br />
<strong>the</strong>ir history, identity and aspirations <strong>of</strong> <strong>in</strong>tegrat<strong>in</strong>g arts<br />
education <strong>in</strong>to community life.<br />

Seek<strong>in</strong>g an artistic challenge, <strong>Edmonton</strong> photographer Anne<br />
Marie Resta began a year long study <strong>of</strong> a familiar subject.<br />
But as <strong>the</strong> weeks progressed, she found herself tak<strong>in</strong>g<br />
a second and unexpected look at her subjects. Visit <strong>the</strong><br />
Muttart Art wall to rediscover <strong>the</strong> familiar for yourself.<br />

You’ve planned, you’ve planted and now it’s time to<br />
enjoy your yard! What do you need to do to keep it<br />
look<strong>in</strong>g beautiful this season? We’ll talk about basic lawn<br />
ma<strong>in</strong>tenance practices and exam<strong>in</strong>e <strong>the</strong> pros and cons<br />
<strong>of</strong> traditional garden<strong>in</strong>g methods versus chemical free<br />
methods. Learn how to properly apply fertilizers and<br />
pesticides, but also how to avoid us<strong>in</strong>g chemicals altoge<strong>the</strong>r.<br />

LITTLE SPROUTS BIRTHDAY (Ages 4–5)<br />
Spend your birthday discover<strong>in</strong>g plants <strong>the</strong> pre-school<br />
way. Search for leaf shapes, colours and try to match a few<br />
leaf textures too. Take a jungle trek through <strong>the</strong> ra<strong>in</strong>forest<br />
pyramid look<strong>in</strong>g for <strong>the</strong> biggest trees and travel through<br />
<strong>the</strong> desert to f<strong>in</strong>d <strong>the</strong> prickliest plants. You’ll play some<br />
games, make a craft and each <strong>of</strong> your guests will pot<br />
a plant to take home.<br />
