“CONVERGE” BY THE CITY ARTS CENTRE
The works explore topics such as identity, cultural
landscape, meditation, subjectivity and a critique of the
everyday. In this exhibit visitors will have the opportunity
to find out more about the City Arts Centre instructors,
their history, identity and aspirations of integrating arts
education into community life.

“THE VEGGIE PROJECT” BY ANNE MARIE RESTA
Seeking an artistic challenge, Edmonton photographer Anne
Marie Resta began a year long study of a familiar subject.
But as the weeks progressed, she found herself taking
a second and unexpected look at her subjects. Visit the
Muttart Art wall to rediscover the familiar for yourself.

SUMMER BACKYARD MAINTENANCE $25/person
You’ve planned, you’ve planted and now it’s time to
enjoy your yard! What do you need to do to keep it
looking beautiful this season? We’ll talk about basic lawn
maintenance practices and examine the pros and cons
of traditional gardening methods versus chemical free
methods. Learn how to properly apply fertilizers and
pesticides, but also how to avoid using chemicals altogether.

LITTLE SPROUTS BIRTHDAY (Ages 4–5)
Spend your birthday discovering plants the pre-school
way. Search for leaf shapes, colours and try to match a few
leaf textures too. Take a jungle trek through the rainforest
pyramid looking for the biggest trees and travel through
the desert to find the prickliest plants. You’ll play some
games, make a craft and each of your guests will pot
a plant to take home.
