• <strong>Program</strong>s are two hours <strong>in</strong> length<br />

DINOSAUR ADVENTURE (Ages 4–8)<br />

Just how big was <strong>the</strong> largest d<strong>in</strong>osaur on earth? Have a<br />

gigantically fun time f<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>g out as a naturalist takes your<br />

group to <strong>the</strong> past when <strong>the</strong>se large animals roamed <strong>the</strong><br />

earth. Become a paleontologist, handle real fossils, and<br />

create a d<strong>in</strong>o-mite craft!<br />

SEASONAL SUPER SLEUTH BIRTHDAY (Ages 4–6)<br />

Your group will become detectives and assist our naturalist<br />

<strong>in</strong> look<strong>in</strong>g for answers to nature’s mysteries. Use a magnify<strong>in</strong>g<br />

glass and search for clues <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> season. W<strong>in</strong>ter tracks, spr<strong>in</strong>g<br />

flowers, summer bugs, and autumn leaves; you never know<br />

what you’ll discover! Visit <strong>the</strong> animals, create a craft, play<br />

nature games, or go on a nature scavenger hunt.<br />

STALKING AND TRACKING ANIMALS (Ages 7–11)<br />

Look for clues for who’s been where <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> woods. Tracks<br />

aren’t <strong>the</strong> only clues animals leave beh<strong>in</strong>d. Discover which<br />

animals leave what signs beh<strong>in</strong>d. Make a plaster cast <strong>of</strong> deer<br />

track, play camouflage games, and sneak up on your party<br />

guests with stalk<strong>in</strong>g games.<br />

BUG MANIA BIRTHDAY (Ages 6–11)<br />

A bug’s life will become reality when we exam<strong>in</strong>e <strong>the</strong><br />

smallest ant to <strong>the</strong> biggest bug. We’ll meet some o<strong>the</strong>r t<strong>in</strong>y<br />

critters when we explore <strong>the</strong> forest. Peek <strong>in</strong>side our beehive,<br />

go on a bug hunt, create a critter, and meet one <strong>of</strong> our live<br />

bug-eat<strong>in</strong>g animals up close. On ra<strong>in</strong>y days we’ll spend more<br />

time explor<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> Exhibit Room – it’s full <strong>of</strong> bug-ology.<br />

Available May through September<br />

POND PARTY (Ages 5–11)<br />

Capture water tigers <strong>in</strong> your dip net, search for phantom<br />

midges, and look for birds and mammals that live near <strong>the</strong><br />

pond. This program is full <strong>of</strong> exploration for curious kids.<br />

Led by a naturalist, you’ll learn about some <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> fantastic<br />

creatures that live <strong>in</strong> ponds. Meet a salamander or garter<br />

snake and play some nature games.<br />
