15.3 Attendance at any function which takes place in the evening or on a weekend orholiday (except for room visitations <strong>and</strong> parent/Teacher conferences) shall be voluntary.SECTION 16 Lunch Duty16.1 Elementary: No Teacher will be assigned to the cafeteria.16.2 Secondary (Middle School <strong>and</strong> High School): Teachers may volunteer for cafeteriaduty in lieu of other service assignments. If sufficient volunteers are not available, then Teachersmay be assigned at the discretion of the Administration.SECTION 17 Job DescriptionA copy of job descriptions for certified personnel (Teachers <strong>and</strong> Administrators) shall beavailable at the principal's office for examination by Teachers.SECTION 18 Team Leaders/Department Heads18.1 Team leaders will have a regular teaching load but will receive a stipend for theirservices as set forth on Appendix B attached hereto.18.2 The position of team leader shall be posted <strong>and</strong> applied for annually. By June ofeach year, each team leader will be notified in writing by the Superintendent whether or nothe/she will be reappointed for the following school year.18.3 Department heads who supervise nine (9) or more Teachers shall work ten (10)additional days beyond the normal Teachers. Department heads who supervise eight or lessTeachers shall work five (5) additional work days beyond the normal school year. Such timeshall be paid for in the same manner <strong>and</strong> form as for Program Leaders, Guidance Counselors <strong>and</strong>Career Vocational Education Teachers for ten (10) days or .5 of such sum for five (5) days.18.4 Department heads shall not perform supervisory/administrative duties for 50% ormore of their time.SECTION 19 Consultation ProcedureIt is the desire of the Board <strong>and</strong> the Association to achieve continuous rapport <strong>and</strong>underst<strong>and</strong>ing between the parties <strong>and</strong> it is felt that one method of achieving this goal is todiscuss periodically various subjects of mutual concern not necessarily covered under thisAgreement. Accordingly, the parties will attempt to hold periodic informal meetings to discusssuch subjects when such discussion is requested by either party.SECTION 20 Personal FreedomThe private <strong>and</strong> personal life of a Teacher is not within the appropriate concern orattention of the Board except as it may, in the discretion of the Board, interfere with the<strong>Teacher's</strong> responsibilities to <strong>and</strong> rapport with students <strong>and</strong>/or the school.ARTICLE XREDUCTION IN CERTIFICATED PERSONNEL{OO362235.DOC Ver.
