Članak 68.Funkcije depozitara1. Izvornik ovog Ugovora, nakon isteka roka u kojem je otvoren za potpis, deponira se kodglavnog direktora.2. Glavni direktor ovjerava i prosljeđuje dva primjerka ovog Ugovora i priloženog muPravilnika vladama svih država potpisnica Pariške konvencije za zaštitu industrijskogvlasništva i, na zahtjev, vladi bilo koje druge države.3. Glavni direktor registrira ovaj Ugovor u Tajništvu Ujedinjenih naroda.4. Glavni direktor potvrđuje i prosljeđuje dva primjerka svake izmjene ovog Ugovora iPravilnika vladama svih država ugovornica i, na zahtjev, vladi bilo koje druge države.Članak 69.ObavijestiGlavni direktor obavješćuje vlade svih država potpisnica Pariške konvencije za zaštituindustrijskog vlasništva o:i) potpisima u skladu sa člankom 62.,ii) depozitu instrumenata o ratifikaciji ili pristupu u skladu sa člankom 62.,iii) datumu stupanja na snagu ovog Ugovora i datumu od kojeg se primjenjuje Poglavlje II. uskladu sa člankom 63. stavkom 3,iv) svakoj izjavi danoj u skladu sa člankom 64. stavkom od 1.do 5.,v) povlačenju svake izjave u skladu sa člankom 64. stavkom 6. točkom b),vi) otkazima primljenim u skladu sa člankom 66. ivii) svakoj izjavi danoj u skladu sa člankom 31. stavkom 4.40
The Contracting States,PATENT COOPERATION TREATY (PCT)Desiring to make a contribution to the progress of science and technology,Desiring to perfect the legal protection of inventions,Desiring to simplify and render more economical the obtaining of protection for inventionswhere protection is sought in several countries,Desiring to facilitate and accelerate access by the public to the technical informationcontained in documents describing new inventions,Desiring to foster and accelerate the economic development of developing countries throughthe adoption of measures designed to increase the efficiency of their legal systems, whethernational or regional, instituted for the protection of inventions by providing easily accessibleinformation on the availability od technological solutions applicable to their special needs andby facilitating access to the ever expanding volume of modern technology,Convinced that cooperation among nations will greatly facilitate the attainment of these aims,Have concluded the present Treaty.INTRODUCTORY PROVISIONSArticle 1Establishment of a Union(1) The States party to this Treaty (hereinafter called »the Con tracting States«) constitute aUnion for cooperation in the filing, searching, and examination, of applications for theprotection of inventions, and for rendering special technical services. The Union shall beknown as the International Patent Cooperation Union.(2) No provision of this Treaty shall be interpreted as diminishing the rights under the ParisConvention for the Protection of Industrial Property of any national or resident of any countryparty to that Convention.Article 2DefinitionsFor the purposes of this Treaty and the Regulations and unless expressly stated otherwise:(i) »application« menas an application for the protection of an invention; references to an»application« shall be construed as references to applications for patents for inventions,inventorsž certificates, utility certificates, utility models, patents of certificates of addition,inventorsž certificates of addition, and utility certificates of addition;41
