• If a signal is received on an OPEN channelbut your Selcall Ident is not detected,scanning will pause while the channel is busyand will resume 5 seconds after the channelbecomes clear again.• If a signal is received on a QUIET channelbut your Selcall Ident is not detected, it willbe ignored and scanning will continue.• If a signal containing your Selcall Ident isreceived on any channel - OPEN or QUIET -both SCAN and QUIET modes will be deactivatedand the receiver will lock onto thatchannel. In addition the alarm will beep toalert you to the call and the callers Ident willbe displayed. The channel will now be openfor normal transmission and reception.To cancel the alarm, briefly press eitherthe QUIET key or the PTT switch. The 'CallFrom' Ident will remain on the display so you willknow who called.To resume Scanning in the QUIET mode:Press the SCAN key, then briefly pressthe QUIET key. 'SCAN' and 'QUIET' will bedisplayed.NOTE: For reliable selcall detection whenscanning, it is recommended no more than 5channels be scanned in any group.i.e. 5 channels in Open Scan modeor 2 channels plus the Priority channel inthe Group Scan mode.21
