CCM Applicant HandbookCertified Construction ManagerCMCIRECERTIFICATIONRenewal PolicyTo maintain the integrity and value ofcertification in a fast‐changing industry, CCMdesignated individuals must renew everythree years through continuing education.The CCM holder must submit a CertificationRenewal Application to the certification officeevery three years with the requiredinformation and a renewal fee.CCM certification renewal is based on theaccumulation of points earned throughvarious activities. A total of 25 points isneeded every 3 years along with payment forthe renewal fee.Note: Please note that it is critical to notify the certification office of any email and other contactchanges while maintaining certification. This is the only way that the certification office cannotify you of an upcoming expiration date or other critical information.All activities must specifically relate to Construction Management.Recertification points can be earned anytime from the date appearing on the individual’sCCM certificate.No points may carry over from one 3‐year period to the next or among categories.Recertification forms will be sent approximately 30 days prior to being due.Recertification forms are due by the end of the anniversary month.Recertification forms may be submitted once the 3‐year requirement has been met.Recertification forms are retained for 3 years.The registered status is maintained by paying the invoice for your renewal fee.Recertification will be reviewed by the CMCI staff unless there is an outstanding question. Ifthis occurs then the Recertification form will be sent to the Recertification Committee forreview and response on the status of the application.Note: All CCMs have free access to Recert Track.
