There are computers availablefor student use in the Admissions office and the FinancialAid office.If you are an international student, you will need to submit aninternational student application directly to the InternationalStudent Program. The International Student Program willassist you with all of your necessary appointments. For moreinformation please call 714.895.8146Note: The earlier you apply, the earlier your registration appointmenttime will be and the better chance you will have in getting theclasses you want.Registration will take place online via MyGWC. If you donot receive an email within five business days after youroriginal email confirmation, contact the Admissions Office at714-895-8306. Make sure you don’t have a spam filter thatfilters out our email! If the email you receive indicates youneed to complete orientation and/or placement testing, dothe following as soon as possible so you are not blocked fromregistering for you classes:A. Placement Testing – Call the Assessment Center at714-895-8388 to schedule your placement tests. Make sureyou bring a pencil and some form of photo identificationwith you when you go for the placement tests. If you havetranscripts from another accredited college and/or testscores from another California Community <strong>College</strong> (testsmust have been taken within the last 2 years), send themto us ASAP.B. Orientation – Upon completion of the assessmentprocess, new students (see exemptions) are expected tocomplete an online orientation session. The Orientation isdesigned to acquaint the student with the many programsand support services available at the college and to assistthe student in selecting his/her first semester courses.Additional information regarding the Online Orientation isavailable in the Counseling Office.Application confirmation - All admitted students will receivean account to log in to MyGWC, the college’s student/facultyweb portal. Account (log in) information will be emailed (tothe email address you supplied on your application) to new/returning students once the Admissions office has processedyour application. This email will include information aboutyour MyGWC account, student email address, registrationappointment time and instructions to log in to MyGWC.RegistrationYou will register for classes on or after the date and time of yourregistration appointment using MyGWC. You may register anytime after your appointment but not before. If the class you wishto take is closed (full), place yourself on the waitlist, if available.Pay your FeesPay your fees immediately so that you do not get dropped fromyour classes! Fees are due IMMEDIATELY and must be receivedby the fee payment deadlines printed in this schedule. <strong>Golden</strong><strong>West</strong> <strong>College</strong> does not bill for unpaid registrations. If paymentsare not received in accordance wtih the drop schedule, studentsWILL BE DROPPED from classes to make seats available for otherstudents seeking to register.Important: Students who are still enrolled in classes when theterm begins and have not paid fees, WILL NOT be dropped fornon-payment. Students will incur a financial obligation to thecollege, a hold will be placed on their record and the balancecould be forwarded to a Collection agency if not paid, whichmay incur an additional cost.Students who register after the term begins WILL NOT bedropped for non-payment. Students will incur a financialobligation to the college and a hold will be placed on theirrecord if payment is not received. This hold will block futureregistration (adds/drops), obtaining transcripts, grades,diplomas or verifications of enrollment. The balance could beforwarded to a Collection agency if not paid which may incuran additional cost.Admissions/Registration
