(714) 895-8306.Assessment CenterThe Assessment Center’s primary responsibility is to administer tests inbasic skills such as math and language, for both native and nonnativespeakers of English, and to measure vocational interests.Results from basic skills tests are valid for a two-year period and areused to make course placement recommendations. The final decisionregarding course selection and programs of study are made by thestudent, in consultation with counselors. The center is also the firststep in beginning the “challenge” process.
