Congratulationsto Grade 5 students who took part inthe Band concert on 17 April. Theydid a wonderful job in their firstconcert. We are very proud of theirefforts.Track and FieldTrack and Field activities are in fullswing on Tuesday afternoons. Withalmost 120 children on the track, this would not be possiblewithout the help of so many parents and staff members leadinggroups and activities. Thank you to everyone helping. Fortychildren have accepted the invitation to join the 550 m run,Siddis-spretten, next to Store Stokkavannet on 28 April. If yousigned up, please remember to be there by 12:45 to get a startnumber and get ready for the start for children up to 6 at 14:00and children 6-12 at 14:15.The Primary School track meet will be held after school on 15May. The children will participate in various events with the ISSVarsity track team helping coordinate the event.CafeteriaThe ISS website now has the menu posted so you and your childcan check before any given day. If parents join students for lunch,please keep in mind that students will be served first. We havegrown in number and there is a limited time to serve everyone.If parents purchase a meal, there is an opening after the Grade2 students and before the Grade 3 students between 11:35 and11:50. Please remember to use exact change or small bills. Thankyou to students for your hard workat rehearsals to make this anothersuccessful event.Student-led ConferencesThere will be no regular classes for children in the Primary Schoolon 11 May. This day is an opportunity for parents and studentsto learn more about what children have been learning this year.Teachers will meet with parents of children in the Pre-School 3and Pre-School 4 classes. For children in Grades Kindergartenthrough Grade 5, the students will take responsibility forcollecting and analyzing what they have learned through theyear. This is a time to celebrate in the learning children havedemonstrated.
