Tilton School’s Varsity Golf team, represented by this foursome,won the Lakes Region Championship on May 17, 2006. The eventtook place at Hanover Golf Club in Hanover, N.H. This was Tilton’s firstLakes Region golf championship win in 27 years. Albert cofounded“Connections: The New Hampshire Reading Project”; foundedthe New Hampshire Council on Literacy and the New HampshireLiteracy Congress; coordinated the development of New Hampshire’sStatewide Summer Reading Program; created and developed the “Kids,Books, and the Arts” project; and co-founded the Young Adult InterestGroup and the New Hampshire Partnership for Literacy.28 | Fall 2006
Ben Wyrick Criminal Justice Teacher Tim Healy and Forensic ScienceTeacher Carrie Hanover and their students collaborated on threesimulated “crime scenes” in the spring. The teachers set up thecrime scenes, and students were divided into crime scene investigators,arresting officers, prosecutors, criminal defenders, jury membersand more. Faculty members and other students participated as“suspects.” Arrests were made, and mock trials ensued. The “crimes”included a body (some bones and a Tilton jersey to be exact) buried oncampus, money stolen from the Development Office, and the kidnappingof Dean of Students Rick Johnson’s son, Nathaniel. Theypoured a plaster casting material into the track, let it solidify and thenidentified the tread. Landroche was foundnot guilty of murder by a jury of students and faculty.Head of School Jim Clements and Director of CommunicationsMeredith Morin, members of the Tilton-Northfield Rotary Club,presented a $2,000 Rotary Scholarship to Danielle Robinson ’06for her academic achievement and community service on May 20,2006.
