<strong>Tilton</strong> <strong>School</strong>’s Varsity Golf team, represented by this foursome,won the Lakes Region Championship on May 17, 2006. <strong>The</strong> eventtook place at Hanover Golf Club in Hanover, N.H. This was <strong>Tilton</strong>’s firstLakes Region golf championship win in 27 years. Pictured are StevenKemp ’07, Jason Rexinis ’06, Vince Johnston ’07 and John Penny ’07.Faculty member Tom Mariano and several recent <strong>Tilton</strong> graduatesworked at the Elite Hockey Training Centers at NorwichUniversity and Dartmouth College this summer, coaching kids ages8 to 17. At the end <strong>of</strong> every session <strong>of</strong> hockey camp, the coaches andcounselors played a game while the campers sat in the stands andcheered them on. Albert c<strong>of</strong>ounded“Connections: <strong>The</strong> New Hampshire Reading Project”; foundedthe New Hampshire Council on Literacy and the New HampshireLiteracy Congress; coordinated the development <strong>of</strong> New Hampshire’sStatewide Summer Reading Program; created and developed the “Kids,Books, and the Arts” project; and co-founded the Young Adult InterestGroup and the New Hampshire Partnership for Literacy.28 | Fall 2006
