AREAS OF STUDYCommunity Health Advisor The certificate course of study is designedto prepare the student for direct employment asa Community Health Advisor. CHA's serve aslinks between rural medically underservedcommunities and the health care system. Theyprovide outreach health prevention, advocacy,education and referral services within prescribedneighborhoods. Students must be available tocomplete 320 clock hours for the field workcourse. Placements are generally made withinthe student's home community.
