<strong>the</strong> time of <strong>the</strong>ir application for admission into <strong>the</strong> new degree program.AUDITORSA limited number of auditors are permitted in most courses. Special and non-credit students may registeras auditors under <strong>the</strong>se conditions:‣ The auditor applies to and is accepted by <strong>Covenant</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong>.‣ The auditor pays <strong>the</strong> required tuition and fees (no additional fee for full-time students or <strong>the</strong>irspouses).‣ The instructor permits auditors in <strong>the</strong> class.‣ Adequate classroom facilities are available.Credit students have priority in classroom discussion and exercises. Audit students may not turn inassignments or take exams.Generally, students may not audit language courses to learn <strong>the</strong> language. Those who have successfullycompleted or tested out of language courses may register to audit <strong>the</strong>m for review, subject to <strong>the</strong> normalprocedures for auditing. <strong>Student</strong>s who are failing a language course on <strong>the</strong>ir first attempt to take it andwho have permission from <strong>the</strong> Registrar and professor, may change status to audit after <strong>the</strong> mid-term(with written certification of failure from <strong>the</strong> professor; see “Language Audit Policy” section for fur<strong>the</strong>rdetails).<strong>Student</strong>s may not change from audit to credit status after <strong>the</strong> semester deadline for adding courses.Auditors must register for all courses <strong>the</strong>y audit.Full-time students may audit without tuition charge. We ask that if a student is not able to attend 50percent of <strong>the</strong> course, he/she should contact One-Stop and drop <strong>the</strong> course. Spouses may generally audityear round if <strong>the</strong> student in <strong>the</strong> family is full-time in <strong>the</strong> fall and spring academic terms.CHANGING DEGREE PROGRAMS<strong>Student</strong>s wishing to change degree programs must submit a written request to <strong>the</strong> faculty through One-Stop, giving <strong>the</strong> reasons for <strong>the</strong> change. Additional material (e.g., references, essays, exams) may berequired. <strong>Student</strong>s considering such a change should consult Academic Advising for assistance inselecting courses that will satisfy requirements for both degree programs.
