To learn more visit <strong>the</strong> <strong>Student</strong> Life teamlocated in One-Stop.DAY OF PRAYEREach semester, <strong>the</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong> holds a Day of Prayer when classes are suspended and students, faculty andstaff meet in <strong>the</strong> chapel for prayer and worship. After a brief message from a speaker, <strong>the</strong>re are sessions ofindividual prayer, small group prayer for individual needs and corporate prayer for <strong>the</strong> community as awhole, as well as for needs around <strong>the</strong> world. A community lunch provided by <strong>the</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong> follows.Day of Prayer is an important time of renewed perspective and focus on God. The <strong>Seminary</strong> family isencouraged to participate in <strong>the</strong> Day of Prayer; doing so, even under <strong>the</strong> pressures of study, work andfamily, helps form habits of prayer that will be beneficial for <strong>the</strong> future pressures of ministry.FAMILY NURTURE<strong>Covenant</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong> takes seriously <strong>the</strong> privilege and responsibility of helping to prepare future pastorsand ministry leaders and <strong>the</strong>ir families. The <strong>Seminary</strong> understands that when <strong>the</strong> Lord calls a marriedstudent into ministry He calls <strong>the</strong> entire family as well. Through our Family Nurture Program, we offer avariety of opportunities for support groups, fellowship, learning and general preparation for <strong>the</strong> joys andchallenges that ministry brings to a family. We also provide childcare for selected classes as well as ourParents’ Morning Out and Parents Night Out programs.MINISTRY LUNCHESMinistry lunches take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and sometimes onFridays from 12:20 to 12:55 p.m. These ga<strong>the</strong>rings give students an opportunity to hear various speakersand panel discussions on topics that relate seminary studies to life and ministry.CAMPUS COMMUNICATIONSBULLETIN BOARDS AND SIGNSEach campus bulletin board has a designated function. In Edwards Hall <strong>the</strong>re are bulletin boards for FieldEducation, Local/Regional Events and Items for Sale. In <strong>the</strong> Community Center <strong>the</strong>re is a <strong>Student</strong> Life[52]
