MessageCenterThe MessageCenter is used to show messages. Detailsof the messages are described in Section 7.1MessageCenter.Switch DescriptionsSTART / RUN -OFF Switch (SROS)START/RUN-OFF SwitchThe START/RUN-OFF switch is a 12 VDCinput to the <strong>micro</strong>processor. When placed inthe START/RUN position, this switchprovides power to the <strong>micro</strong>processor. The<strong>micro</strong>processor performs a self-test (allsegments of display are illuminated). Then setpoint and refrigerated compartmenttemperature are displayed. To stop the unit orremove power from the <strong>micro</strong>processor,place the SR0S to the OFF position.GLOW/CRANK Switch (GCS) (Removed from unitsbuilt after April 2007)The GLOW/CRANK switch is located on the back of thecontrol box and is easily reachable from under thecontrol box.GLOWCRANKNOTEThe GLOW/CRANK switch will energize theglow and crank circuits only when theSTART/RUN-OFF switch is in the RUN position,and after the <strong>micro</strong>processor has gonethrough the self-test.Key DescriptionsMANUALDEFROSTUP ARROW and DOWN ARROW KeysThese keys allow you to change thesetpoints or other displayed data of thesystem. They also allow you to scrollthrough the Unit Data list, FunctionParameters list, Alarm list, etc.EQUAL Key (ENTER)The EQUAL key is used for many things,including entering a setpoint, changing aFunctional Parameter, clearing alarms, andlocking the data menu.MANUAL DEFROST KeyThe MANUAL DEFROST key is used toinitiate a defrost cycle when the properconditions are met.ALARM LISTSTART-STOP/CONTINUOUSSELECTALARM LIST KeyThe ALARM LIST key allows you to view thealarms stored in the <strong>micro</strong>processor. Thealarm list is displayed in theMessageCenter. Pressing the ALARM LISTkey once displays the active alarm list. Eachsuccessive press cycles through the list tothe end. To view the inactive alarm list, Referto Section 3.13.START-STOP/CONTINUOUS KeyThis key allows you to change fromStart-Stop operation to Continuous Runoperation. In Start-Stop operation, when the<strong>micro</strong>processor is in Off-Cycle mode, theunit will not be running. During Off-Cyclemode, the <strong>micro</strong>processor monitorsrefrigerated compartment temperature,battery voltage and engine coolanttemperature and will restart the unit whenneeded.SELECT KeyPress the SELECT key to scroll through themenu selections. One of the five standardand one optional menu selections willappear in the MessageCenter when theSELECT key is pressed.The five standard selections are:•PRESS ↑↓ TO VIEW HOURMETERS--Displays the hours for individual hour meters.Refer to Section 3.15.•PRESS ↑↓ TO START PRETRIP -- Usedto initiate a pretrip. Refer to Section 3.4.•PRESS ↑↓ TO VIEW DATA -- DisplaysUnit Data. Refer to Section 3.14.•PRESS ↑↓ TO VIEW SETTINGS -- Displaysunit Functional Parameter settings.Refer to Section 3.16.•PRESS ↑↓ TO MARK TRIP START -- Thismenu selection is only used <strong>with</strong> the DataRecorder. It is used to record a Trip Startevent which is logged in the Data Recorder.This records the time and date of the beginningof the trip. Data can then be downloadedand reviewed by trip, making data reviewmuch easier. Refer to Section 3.11.•PRESS ↑↓ TO VIEW PRINT MENU -- Enablesthe user to use hand--held Strip Printprinter kit P/N 12--00543--10.The optional selection is:•PRESS ↑↓ TO VIEW INTELLISETS -- Referto Section 3.20.1.62-106832--20
