Automotive TechnologyAutomotive TechnologyCertificate andAssociate of Applied ScienceThe Automotive Technology program is designedto prepare students for an entry- level employmentin the high technology automotive service industry.Students will gain knowledge in automotive heatingand air conditioning systems, electrical/electronicsystems, fuel injection, both manual and automatictransmissions/transaxles, engine performance,brake systems, steering and suspension systems,and computerized automotive control systems.Emphasis will be placed on hands-on learning inthe labs to develop diagnostic and troubleshootingskills, as well as repair procedures.Graduates of the Automotive Technology programare typically placed in dealerships, independentgarages and specialty automotive repair facilitiesand quick service shops.
