Topics include culturalvalues, group norms, communication, languagedifferences among Latinos, and standard practices ofthe interpreting profession.Prerequisite: Certification, SLNG 1321.SLNG 2401INTERPRETING ICRT HRS:04 LEC HRS:03 LAB HRS:03Interpreting I is an overview of the interpreting processand current models. It introduces the skills necessaryto achieve message equivalency in interpreting. Thestudent will identify interpreting process models andwill apply these models to text analysis.
