Besides a reliable supply of energy, concentratedsolar power ensures grid stability and is the only regenerativetechnology which can also be used to cover the primary load.It thus fulfils the three chief aims of the triangle used to define thebasic political conditions for the energy industry of the future:reasonable price, environmental compatibility and constantavailability of energy.The development of regions with large amounts of sunshine vialarge-scale projects such as DESERTEC as well as solar and windparks coincides with a higher awareness for energy and the environmenton all levels. Effective methods of meeting the increasingenvironmental requirements are the use of more sustainableproducts which conserve natural resources, energy transportpaths with less losses and, last but not least, the more efficientuse of energy by the final user himself.For us at LEONI, this is the benchmark for all our efforts.
