Consider all petitions, appeals, and proposals for changes to the SGA rulesand regulations as stated in the <strong>Student</strong> <strong>Handbook</strong>, and refer each to theproper authority with a recommendation.h. Oversee all SGA elections.i. Keep under constant review the SGA rules and regulations and advise thePresident of the SGA of desirable changes in connection with her annualwritten report.j. Provide copies of the <strong>Student</strong> <strong>Handbook</strong> to the Office of Co-CurricularLife.Article VI: Judicial PowersJudicial authority of the SGA shall be exercised by the Judicial Committee. Thecomposition and powers of the Committee are detailed in Section II.Article VII: Amendments1. Amendments to the SGA Constitution may be proposed by any Board,Council or Committee of the SGA, by a member at any meeting of the SGA,or by a special committee appointed by the President of the SGA. Allrecommendations and/or proposals should be referred to and studied by theExecutive Committee.2. Approval of an amendment requires a two-thirds vote by the SGA votingofficers during a meeting of the SGA.By-Laws of the <strong>Student</strong> Government AssociationSECTION I: Meetings of the AssociationA. The SGA Officers shall hold open meetings every two weeks during theacademic year.B. In the event of class cancellations, SGA meetings will be cancelled.C. The Executive Committee shall hold closed meetings as needed.D. A quorum for all SGA meetings will be at least two-thirds of the votingofficers.SECTION II: Executive BranchA. Executive Officers1. The duties of the President shall be:a. Call and preside over the meetings of the SGA and the ExecutiveCommittee.b. Represent the students either personally or through a proxy from theExecutive Committee when the need arises.c.
