ii) Grading for Procurement by NAFED:NAFED is the nodal agency <strong>of</strong> the Government <strong>of</strong> India for procuring Red <strong>gram</strong> indifferent states under the Price Support Scheme (PSS). The concerned State Co-operativeMarketing Federations are the procuring agents for NAFED. Only one grade i.e. Fair AverageQuality (FAQ) is prescribed every year/season for procurement <strong>of</strong> pulses including Red <strong>gram</strong>under the Price Support Scheme.
