During 2000-2001, the total arrivals <strong>of</strong> Red <strong>gram</strong> in the 12 markets <strong>of</strong> Uttar Pradesh were reported to be1,92,013 tonnes followed by 21 markets in Maharashtra (83286.2 tonnes), whereas thearrivals in Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh were 57056.5, 55776 and 23521tonnes respectively.
