3410. Automatic DataloggingThe 900-C can automatically log records into the Notepad. First the logging period must beprogrammed, then automatic logging can be started and stopped as required.1. Select the Notepad menu ( → F2:Notepad)2. Select F4:Program from the menu.The display should now look similar to that shown below. The current Logging/Printing Periodis displayed.Enter Logging/Printing Period : 0 secs3. Use the Numeric Keypad to set the period at which the 900-C will automatically log recordsinto memory or to the RS232 port.PressPressto save the Logging/Printing Period.to quit without changing the current setting.4. After pressing , the 900-C will ask you to enter the units. The Logging/Printing Periodyou have set is also displayed. For example…Logging/Printing Period : 2Select Units, F1:Secs, F2:Mins, F3:HoursPressPressPressto save the Logging/Printing Period as seconds.to save the Logging/Printing Period as minutes.to save the Logging/Printing Period as hours.5. If the optional RS232 port is fitted, the 900-C will ask if the records are to be logged into theNotepad, or sent directly to the RS232 port. The display will look like this…F1:Log to Notepad F2:Send to RS232PressPressto log records into the Notepad (maximum of 2300 readings).to send records directly to the RS232 port.6. The automatic logging function is now programmed, and can be started and stopped asrequired.

Press to stop automatic logging.9. Note: The clock must be set before the 900-C will allow automatic logging to start. Themessage “Clock Not Set” is displayed if the clock is not set.
