66On Human Soul 131CommentThe S.O.C. opposes certain theories on human soul, aspropagated by some other religions. For the S.O.C., to saythat soul is God or part of God is pure blasphemy, as thecreated can never be equated or approximated to theCreator. The S.O.C. feels that the theory is likely to imbue inhuman mind the seeds of false and exaggerated ego. Sothe Syrian Orthodox Church holds dualistic theory with regardto creation as a whole and about human soul. As the soul isendless there will be eternal damnation or eternal bliss forthe individual human souls, as the case may be.Theme No: 27On Sin1. Every human being is guilty before God; not only by original sinbut by sins committed in life. Even though there is nobody withoutsin,Ref: Rom. 3:9-12. Will then are we Jews in any better conditionthan the Gentiles? Not at all! I have already shownthat Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the powerof sin. As the scriptures say: ‘There is no one whois righteous, no one who is wise or who worshipsGod. All have turned away from God; they have allgone wrong; no one does what is right; not evenone.” (G.N.B.)(b) Rom 5:18. So then, as the one sin condemned allmankind, in the same way the one righteous act setsall mankind free and gives them life. (G.N.B.)(c) Gal. 3:22. But the scripture says that the whole worldis under the power of sin... (G.N.B.)(d) Sam. 11:1-3. I trust in the Lord for safety. How foolishof you to say to me, “Fly away like a bird to themountains because the wicked have drawn theirbows and aimed their arrows to shoot from theshadows at good men. There is nothing a good mando when everything falls apart. (G.N.B.)(e) 1Jn. 1:8. If we say that we have no sin, we deceiveourselves and there is no truth in us. (G.N.B.)(f) 1King 8:46. “When your people sin against you -and there is no one who does not sin...” (G.N.B.)(g) vide. Ecc. 7:24. (G.N.B.)CommentNo person, be he or she is of any time or clime, says theS.O.C. is sinless. To say the contrary is a travesty and hencea sin against the Holy Spirit. Besides original sin, which is alegacy of the disobedience of our first parents, Adam andEve, every individual gets involved in sins, while alive. This
