Content.With regard to content, the following elements must be considered:• Extensive diagnosis of the present situation, with special emphasis on themajor shortcomings <strong>and</strong> needs of the current system of conservation <strong>and</strong> useof agricultural biodiversity <strong>and</strong> on the opportunities <strong>and</strong> threats that arise forthe future, such as climate change.• General Measures:––Infrastructures.––Management systems.––Funding.• Sectorial approaches:––Cultivated crops <strong>and</strong> other plant species of interest to food <strong>and</strong> agriculture.––Livestock.––Fishery resources.––Forest species.––Microorganisms of relevance to food <strong>and</strong> agriculture.––Other important components of biodiversity for food <strong>and</strong> agriculture.• Cross-cutting themes:––Access <strong>and</strong> exchange of genetic resources <strong>and</strong> aspects related to intellectualproperty.––Relationships between agricultural biodiversity <strong>and</strong> climate change.––Relationships between agricultural biodiversity <strong>and</strong> wild biodiversity,including the ecosystem perspective.139
