Hizb Tawheed Wal-Qitaalwithin the enemy camp in peace was able to gather all the<strong>intelligence</strong> information that the Messenger <strong>of</strong> Allāh (SalAllahualayhi wa ssalam) wanted. As well as the quick intelligent reply aswhen a man asked Abū Bakr (during his escape from Makkah withthe Prophet (SalAllahu alayhi wa ssalam), ―Who is this man who is withyou?‖ Abū Bakr replied, ―This man is guiding me the way.‖ And theman thought he meant the road, while Abū Bakr had intended theUpright Path.10) Calm <strong>and</strong> patient. The mujāhid should have plenty <strong>of</strong> patiencefor [enduring] afflictions if he is overcome by the enemies. Heshould not ab<strong>and</strong>on this great path <strong>and</strong> sell himself <strong>and</strong> his religionto the enemies for his freedom. He should be patient in performingthe work, even if it lasts a long time.11) Teamwork <strong>and</strong> strong Islāmic brotherhood, as Allāh (SWT)has comm<strong>and</strong>ed;إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ‏ إِخْ‏ وَةٌ‏ فَأَصْ‏ مِحُواْ‏ بَيْنَ‏ أَخَوَيْكُمْ‏ وَٱتَّقُواْ‏ ٱلمَّوَ‏ لَعَمَّكُمْ‏ تُرْحَمُونَ‏“The Believers are but a single Brotherhood: So make peace <strong>and</strong>reconciliation between your two [contending] brothers; <strong>and</strong> fearAllah, that ye may receive Mercy.”(Al-Fath: 10)12) Truthfulness <strong>and</strong> Counsel. The Comm<strong>and</strong>er <strong>of</strong> the Faithful,‗Umar Ibn Al-Khattāb, may Allāh (SWT) be pleased with him,asserted that this characteristic was vital in those who gatherinformation <strong>and</strong> work as spies against the Moslems' enemies-. He[Omar] sent a letter to Sa‘ad Ibn Abī Waqqās - may Allah be pleasedwith him - saying, "If you step foot on your enemies' l<strong>and</strong>, get spies onthem. Choose those whom you count on for their truthfulness <strong>and</strong> advice,whether Arabs or inhabitants <strong>of</strong> that l<strong>and</strong>. Liars' accounts would notbenefit you, even if some <strong>of</strong> them were true; the deceiver is a spy againstyou <strong>and</strong> not for you.‖Important Security Advice to the MujāhidThe following are some key reminders as well as advices <strong>and</strong>serious warnings on some very important <strong>security</strong> matters both forthe individual mujāhid <strong>and</strong> the whole group which MUST beclearly known, understood <strong>and</strong> effectively implemented in thecourse <strong>of</strong> any jihādi work. These are from real experiences <strong>and</strong> pastmistakes <strong>of</strong> some Mujāhidīn <strong>and</strong> jihādi groups especially in ourcurrent era;-The Compilation Of Security And Intelligence Principles Page 32
