Poster Session I, Basic Sciences, August 1, 2010ICP 001Clinical Poster SessionsComparison of Astigmatism Values and its Orientation Among Abberometer, AutoRefractometer, Orbsan and its ValidationAditya SinghChaudhary Eye Centre, New Delhi, India89Purpose: To calculate and compare the astigmatism values and its orientation obtained bySubjective refraction with Aberrometer (OPD SCAN - Nidek 510 ARK), Auto Refractometer(Topcon 8800) and Orbscan (Baush & Lomb). Methods: We evaluated 212 right eyes of the same number of subjects, aged between 20 to40 years. Non cycloplegic masked refraction was done and streak retinoscopy was performedto get starting point for subjective refraction The subjective astigmatism values were comparedto Abberometer,Auto refractometer and Orbscan values. The data were analyzed using powervectors and p value was calculated by using paired ‘ t’- test. Graphical representation was doneby using Bland –Altmann plotResults: The mean cylindrical power with subjective refraction was -1.078 ± 0.94D, withOrbscan -1.16 ±0.99D, OPD Scan -0.93 ± 0.94D and Topcon -1.25 ± 1.22D. This shows thatOrbscan and Topcon overestimates cylindrical values and OPD Scan underestimates the same.Mean value of J0 for subjective refraction was 0.19 ± 0.56D, for Orbscan 0.28 ± 0.59D, OPDScan 0.14 ± 0.54D and Topcon 0.16 ± 0.69D Mean value of J45 for subjective refraction -0.0064± 0.384D, for Orbscan -0.016 ± 0.387D, OPD Scan -0.013 ± 0.36D and Topcon -0.24 ± 0.44D.Sub group analysis was done for With the rule astigmatism, Against the rule astigmatism andOblique astigmatismConclusions: Our study shows that Orbscan tends to overestimate WTR astigmatismTopcon slightly over estimates ATR astigmatism while OPD Scan tends to underestimatesOblique astigmatism. However differences are statistically insignificant.ICP 002Clinical Features and Surgical results of Glaucoma in PhakomatosisPigmentovascularisAnil Kumar Mandal, B Pradeep kumar Reddy, S A Hussain NaqviL V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India.Purpose: To describe the clinical presentation and experience in treating the patients ofPhakomatosis Pigemntovascularis at a tertiary care centre. Methods: Retrospective analysis of the records of twenty four patients presenting withglaucoma in Phakomatosis Pigemntovascularis was done and clinical manifestation and surgicalresults were analyzed.
