92 Clinical Poster SessionsConclusions: Procerovum and Haplorchis species (Family- Heterophyidae) of trematode areknown to cause infection in the fish eye (Hong-Kean et.al ,1999). Our initial experiment alsoshowed the similar results in human eyes. So, this family of trematode could be the causativeagent of the granulomatous Uveitis in children of South India.ICP 006Changes in the Thickness (Inner and Outer Retinal Layers) of Retina in Patientswith Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP)Bodduluri Lakshmi, Vodapalli Harikrishna, Subhadra JalaliL V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, IndiaPurpose: The aim of the study is “Comparing the changes in the inner retinal and outerretinal layer thickness in patients with Retinitis Pigmentosa measured with RTVue FourierDomain-Optical Coherence Tomography (FD-OCT) to the normative data”.Methods: Patients with RP underwent RT Vue OCT. Ganglion cell complex (GCC) and MM6scan modes are used to compare the thickness of retina in patients with RP to the Normals. The average GCC thickness is compared between patients with RP and Normals. The totalretinal (TR) thickness from the MM6 is taken and is compared to the average GCC thickness(one third of the TR thickness). Comparisons are made after dividing the subjects into fivecategories based on visual acuity criteria. Results: 100 eyes of 50 patients with RP underwent RTVue OCT imaging. The mean GCCthickness was 94.01 + 13.57 um for controls and 80.46+ 21.46 um for RP patients. Accordingto the VA criteria, the mean GCC thickness taken from GCC scan was 79.98+ 22.21 um wascompared with one third of TR thickness measured with MM6 scan i.e 89.54 + 13.87 um forthe patients in category 0, the mean GCC thickness was 77.58 + 18.67 um and TR thicknesswas 85.76+ 12.79 um for category I, 86.74 + 24.45 um and 81.94+ 14.26 um for category II,74.26+ 15.82 um and 81.91+ 8.86 um for category III, and 81.97 + 16.06 and 91.66+ 12.05 umfor category IV.Conclusions: Eyes with RP had shown significant difference in mean GCC thickness incompared to normals.ICP 007Evaluation of Visual Outcome and Complications Rate of Contact Lenses TrialsAfter Corneal TearDebarun Dutta, 1 Preeji Mandathara Sudharman, 1 Dumpati Srikanth, 1 Somasheila I Murthy, 2 VarshaRathi 1,21Bausch and Lomb Contact Lens Centre, 2 Cornea and anterior Segment Services, L V PrasadEye Institute, Kallam Anji Reddy Campus, Hyderabad.Purpose: To analyse the visual outcome and contact lens (CL) fitting characteristics in patientswith corneal scar following corneal tear repair.
