Skip this task if configuring an<strong>Exchange</strong> Server 2003 server.Starting with <strong>Exchange</strong> Server 2007, neither the Messaging API (MAPI) clientlibraries nor CDO 1.2.1 are provided as a part of the base <strong>Exchange</strong> Server 2007product installation. As a result, you must manually download and install thesecomponents in order to use the MAPI-based <strong>Exchange</strong> Message Plug-in.Download and Install MAPI Client Libraries and CDO 1.2.1version 6.5.8153.0 or later as a single download from Microsoft.com at thefollowing location:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=E17E7F31-079A-43A9-BFF2-0A110307611E&displaylang=enCreate “<strong>Avamar</strong>BackupUser” user account and mailbox thatuses static profile (64-bit)This section contains steps that must be per<strong>for</strong>med on one node in the cluster,followed by steps that must be per<strong>for</strong>med on all nodes in the cluster.IMPORTANT: A unique user name is required <strong>for</strong> each<strong>Exchange</strong> Server. If you are backing up more than one<strong>Exchange</strong> server within an Active Directory <strong>for</strong>est, you mustuse a different Windows user account <strong>for</strong> each <strong>Exchange</strong>server. This is because each user defined in Active Directorystores an <strong>Exchange</strong> mailbox as an attribute. It is there<strong>for</strong>enot possible <strong>for</strong> <strong>Avamar</strong> to use one user account to back upmore than one <strong>Exchange</strong> server.
