Configuring the <strong>Avamar</strong> Cluster ClientINSTALLATIONFIELD/OPTIONDESCRIPTIONCLUSTER NODESPer<strong>for</strong>m installation onfollowing nodesDisplays a list from Windows clusterservices of all of the nodes that are part ofthe cluster. Generally you will not need tochange the defaults.If there is a node on the cluster that youdon’t want the cluster backup agent serviceinstalled on, select the item and then clickRemove.If you want to reload the complete list ofnodes that are part of this cluster, click SetAll.4. Click Configure.You may be prompted <strong>for</strong> credentials to run the <strong>Avamar</strong> service in thefollowing circumstances:• When the UNC path is specified <strong>for</strong> var folder. The following messagewill be displayed: Please enter credentials to enable <strong>Avamar</strong>service to access network shared var folder.• When the <strong>Exchange</strong> message plug-in is installed. The followingmessage will be displayed: Please enter credentials to enablemessage level backups and restores.When installation is complete, a message box will confirm the configurationof the client is complete, and will list the plug-ins that were configured.After you click OK, the setup dialog box is displayed, and the Install buttonwill be greyed out.IMPORTANT: If the Var folder is on a network share, youmust start the backup cluster agent from an account thathas full access permissions to the folder where <strong>Avamar</strong> logfiles are written.<strong>EMC</strong> AVAMAR <strong>6.0</strong> FOR EXCHANGE GUIDE 40
