Configure the <strong>Avamar</strong> Cluster Client on the active node, following the stepsin Configuring the <strong>Avamar</strong> Cluster Client (page 37).Upgrading <strong>Exchange</strong> Cluster Client from 5.0 to <strong>6.0</strong>When upgrading <strong>Exchange</strong> Cluster Client from <strong>Avamar</strong> 5.0, to <strong>Avamar</strong> <strong>6.0</strong>, you donot need to uninstall the old client. However, you must stop and start the BackupAgent service on the <strong>Exchange</strong> client, so that the new client is recognized andregistered correctly.To stop the Backup Agent Service and then restart it on the <strong>Exchange</strong> Cluster1. (Optional) Upgrade the Windows Client on each node, following the steps inInstalling the <strong>Avamar</strong> Windows Client (page 22).2. Upgrade the <strong>Exchange</strong> Client on each node, following the steps in Installingthe <strong>Avamar</strong> <strong>Exchange</strong> Client (page 23).3. Upgrade the Windows Client. Take the cluster offline with the clusteradministration tool that corresponds with the version of Windows Server:(a) In Windows Server 2008, open Failover Cluster Management, rightclickthe Backup Agent service, and then click Take this resourceoffline.-or-(b) In Windows Server 2003 open Administrator Tools > ClusterAdministrator, right-click the Backup Agent service, and then clickTake Offline.4. Take the cluster backup client online with the cluster administration toolthat corresponds with the version of Windows Server:(a) In Windows Server 2008, open Failover Cluster Management, rightclickthe Backup Agent service, and then click Bring this resourceonline.-or-(b) In Windows Server 2003. open Administrator Tools > ClusterAdministrator, right-click the Backup Agent service, and then clickTake Online.5.
