This is incorrect.The rind may be the haven for bacteria <strong>and</strong> germs <strong>and</strong> these maypass onto the part of the product which you eat when you removethe rind.Also, you along with many other people at the store or marketwhere you bought the produce h<strong>and</strong>led it. So, you should clean theproduce thoroughly.Use a brush <strong>and</strong> warm water to clean fruits <strong>and</strong> vegetables with afirm outer covering. Push the brush well into the small crevices toclean off all dirt from them.Soak vegetables like leafy greens <strong>and</strong> spinach in water for a fewminutes, <strong>and</strong> then rinse them off.
