Those students who are dismissed will not beeligible for readmission.Graduation RequirementsStudents who enrolled Fall <strong>of</strong> 2009 are required to complete 121 semester hours,including a course in religion, with a minimum 2.0 GPA. Additionally, students mustsatisfy degree residency and curriculum requirements and file a graduation applicationwith the Registrar.• Degree Residency Requirements:• Prelicensure students must complete all nursing courses, except nursing electives, at the<strong>College</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Nursing</strong>.•RN/BSN advanced track students must complete a minimum <strong>of</strong> 32 hours <strong>of</strong> totaldegree requirement hours through <strong>Mercer</strong> <strong>University</strong>.• Curriculum Requirements: Students who began the two year curriculum in Fall 2009must complete 57 semester hours in general education and 64 semester hours innursing. This is a total <strong>of</strong> 121 semester hours required for graduation. Studentsenrolled in Fall 2007 and 2008 must successfully complete 68 semester hours innursing and 58 semester hours in general education courses. All courses must becompleted with a C or better to meet curriculum requirements. (Although theRegistrar will audit program completion, it remains the student’s responsibility tocomplete all requirements and to carefully review <strong>of</strong> their progress with their advisoreach semester.)• Graduation Application and Clearance: All students must apply for graduation. It is thestudent’s responsibility to be aware <strong>of</strong> all <strong>College</strong> and <strong>University</strong> degree requirementsas published in the <strong>College</strong> <strong>Catalog</strong> and to insure that such requirements have beenmet or that the appropriate waivers, if applicable, have been secured and filed in theRegistrar’s Office. All debts to <strong>Mercer</strong> <strong>University</strong> must be cleared prior to graduation.40
