What initiatives are inplace to reduce any impact?As indicated under Q4 and Q7 there is general commitment to sound environmental managementin practices which, by nature, will result in carbon reduction. However no formal assetmanagement policies focused on carbon reduction in the road authorities.The CAPSA’11 paper “The performance of environmentally beneficial asphalt products: practicalcase studies at OR Tambo International Airport over the last 5 years – Jannie Grobler”. The goalwas to address the policy position of the Airport Company of South Africa – no risk to ACSA,reduction in capital expenditure, maximize recycling of existing materials and reduction of CO 2emissions.
