Toreduce the environmental impact of our products and solutions, weset environmental requirements for our suppliers, e.g., which substancesmay be used or noise levels. Their environmental work iscritical to the environmental performance of our products andsystems. In 2009, we introduced the Group-wide environmentalrequirements for suppliers that were established in 2008. The neworganisation is expected to help us institute requirements for suppliers, since procurement processes will be more centralised.SAAB AND THE GREEN MARKETEnvironmental aspects are increasingly becoming part of the productdevelopment process at Saab.
