3.2.5 Other personnel and visitors on the seismic operations.3.2.5.1 All personnel involved in the <strong>Oil</strong> & <strong>Gas</strong> Exploration operation as well as all visitors shouldreceive a basic helicopter safety briefing as part <strong>of</strong> their arrival induction briefing, regardless <strong>of</strong>whether they are expected to become passengers or not. This briefing should include as aminimum:1. Information about the helicopter and where it is used.2. All helicopter landing, parking and refueling areas are “Restricted” areas.3. Risks related to approaching a helicopter, especially the rotors running case.3.2.5.2 All personnel expected to be passenger at some stage <strong>of</strong> the operation should receiveadditional briefing including at least:1. Approaching, embarking and disembarking aircraft.2. Additional precautions for irregular terrain.3. Observe and follow instructions flight crew and ground crew.4. Stowing / securing equipment.5. Hot loading (rotors-turning) procedures.6. Use <strong>of</strong> seat belts.7. Emergency doors.8. Emergency / Survival Equipment.9. Prohibited goods.3.2.5.3 Initial briefing will be provided to passengers immediately prior to the first flight. This may bewaived for personnel that regularly joins helicopter flights but not to exceed 15 days, but in thatcase a refresher briefing should be given any time a change in personnel is required.3.2.6.4 A template for passenger briefing is provided in Annex F.OGC <strong>IBP</strong> | Revision Date: Sept 2009 DRAFT10
