The Purposes of this Handbook are:INTRODUCTION(1) To provide useful and accurate explanatory summary information to our employees concerning ourCompany and its policies.(2) To document Company establishment and communication of certain policies required by law(3) To assist operating locations in their ability to apply Company policies consistently and in accordancewith current facts and conditions.This handbook is not an expressed or implied employment contract, nor does it create any legallyenforceable obligations on the part of the <strong>Tijuana</strong> <strong>Flats</strong> Burrito Company, its various operating units, orits employees. <strong>Tijuana</strong> <strong>Flats</strong> Burrito Company, owns and also Franchises <strong>Tijuana</strong> <strong>Flats</strong> restaurants, andfor the convenience will be referred in this handbook as “<strong>Tijuana</strong> <strong>Flats</strong>.” All employment with <strong>Tijuana</strong><strong>Flats</strong> is “at will,” which means that an employee or the Company may terminate the employmentrelationship at any time with or without reason.<strong>Tijuana</strong> <strong>Flats</strong> will make a good-faith effort to follow the expressed policies in this handbook, but theremay be circumstances and conditions in which the policies in this may not apply, or may not be followedbecause of various extenuating or exceptional circumstances. Employees may not rely on anyinformation in this handbook as providing any guarantee of continued employment, conditions ofemployment, benefits eligibility or any other performance on the part of <strong>Tijuana</strong> <strong>Flats</strong>. <strong>Tijuana</strong> <strong>Flats</strong> mayand will change policies and procedures from time to time. We will attempt to communicate thesechanges to all employees affected, but will not condition implementation of a policy on notification toemployee.In this handbook, we use the terms “<strong>Tijuana</strong> <strong>Flats</strong>,” “the Company,” and “we” to refer to the employer,<strong>Tijuana</strong> <strong>Flats</strong> Burrito Company and its various operations. We use “you” to refer to the employees of theCompany.
