During threeof his summers at the University, Billworked fo r Dr. Ken Reinecke on aU. S.Fish and Wildlife Service project thatstudied black duck habitat and fe eding.Bill used aerial photographs to producecover type maps, and he collected andclassified aquatic invertebrates duringthose three summers.His true passion in life is teachingand coaching. Bill has taught chemistry,biology and environmental science atthe high school level and introductoryphysical science and life science at themiddle school level.Bill teaches chemistry, biology andenvironmental science, is an advisor,coaches the boys' and girls' swim teamsand co-directs the Genereaux AquaticsCenter with his wife, Donna. Cyprian'sEpiscopal Church in Hampton, Va.,and as associate rector at Old DonationEpiscopal Church in VirginiaBeach. During more than 30 years inthe Diocese of Southern Virginia asan active layperson and as clergy, shewas involved in the work of the churchat the local and national levels. Forseveral years, she served on the diocesanLiturgical Commission and the boardof Episcopal Relief and Development(ERD). In 2003, Joy chaired the deputationfrom the diocese to the GeneralConvention of the Episcopal Church.Prior to ordination in 1994, she workedin the field of Community HealthEducation.Joy lives in a house overlookingNoxon town Pond. Her two daughters,Kellye and Dana, live with their familiesin Columbia, Md. In her senior year, she wasinducted into Sigma Theta Tau, thenational nursing honor society, andawarded the Madeleine McDowellAward, which is given to the senior whohas demonstrated promised to contributeto the future of nursing.Before coming to <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Andrew's</strong>,Helen was busy caring for patients atChristiana Care Medical Center. Helenserved as assistant nurse for hvo yearsat <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Andrew's</strong> before being appointedthe Director or Health Services in1995. During the summer, she can befo und caring for the campers and staffat Camp Arrowhead on Rehoboth Bay.She is an a dive member of <strong>St</strong>. Anne'sChurch in lv[iddletown. She serves onits vestry and sings in the choir. Shealso serves on the Diocesan Council forthe Diocese of Delaware. She is an activemember of the Independent <strong>School</strong>Health Association serving as a member-at-largeworking with outreach.'v\Then she is not working, she enjoysgardening, camping, vacationing in Lincoln,Maine, and visiting her son, Dan'96, in Seattle. Helen and her husband,Charlie, live in nearby Townsend withtheir children, <strong>St</strong>ephen and Sarah.107
