Sixth Formstudents act as residential leaders andmentors on all corridors and assist thecorridor parent in all areas. They pairseniors with new students, writingletters of welcome to them during thesummer and then helping them move inand adjust during the first weeks awayfrom home. Mento ring younger studentsis the most important responsibility of asenior at St. Andrew's.There are six boys' dorms and eightgirls' dorms. Each dorm features a centralcommonroom with basickitchen facilities,often nearthe dorm parent'sapartment, wheredorm meetings take place and dorm dessertsand celebrations are held. Studentslive primarily in double rooms, with afew single rooms and triple rooms. Eachdorm is assigned a number of jobs so thatstudents do the bulk of daily work neededto care for their space, including takingout dorm trash and recycling, vacuumingthe halls and cleaning their commonrooms and kitchen areas each morning.Although our underformers learn agreat deal from their corridor parentsand seniors, they learn most about themselvesand others by living with roommatesand sharing a home with studentsfrom a wide variety of backgrounds.
