The Pharisees (whobelieved in Christ), kept complaining, asking why the convertedGentiles are not circumcised and not keeping The Law of Moses.So, a conference had to be held with The Jerusalem Church,which included Church Elders and Apostles. The Pharisees, also,felt those Gentiles who weren’t circumcised and not keeping TheLaw were also not in the church (Acts 15:1-24). The “churchteaching” believed only Israelites should be in “the church.”This created quite a disagreement and caused arguments. If Gentilescould be part of The Commonwealth of Israel without beingcircumcised and not needing to keep The Law of Moses, then itcaused a change of belief.
