The Apostle Paul goes back to the beginningof creation referring to Adam in The Garden of Eden. Paul statessin entered the world by one man - Adam. Since all have sinned,death passed upon all mankind (Romans 5:12-21).In Romans 5:13, Paul makes an amazing statement concerningsin. Paul states that sin was in the world even though there wasno Law. In Genesis 26:5, Abraham already knew God’s Laws beforeThe Law became a legal covenant with Israel. What did Paulmean? Simply, Paul went on and said sin is not imputed wherethere is no Law. One cannot miss the mark if there are no legaldemands of a Law. Since The Law was not a legal requirement byGod for 430 years after Abraham so sin had no law saying it was,indeed, “a sin.” There was no legal requirement to not miss anymark.Adam’s sin had nothing to do with a Law. Although Adam didnot break any legal Law, his sin was still an offense. It caused aninjury to God. Romans 5:14 states Adam’s sin was a differentsimilitude than legally breaking a Law or The Law.Adam’s transgression against God was eating of The Tree ofKnowledge. Adam’s sin had nothing to do with The Law. Therefore,in I John 3:4, the transgression of The Law, was not Adam’ssin. Adam’s sin was not against God’s Law. Adam’s sin and transgressionwas against God’s command when he ate of The Tree ofGood and Evil. The meaning of sin can change in relationship tothe goal God wants you to achieve.In this case, sin is called an offense and not a sin against a Law.Sin, in Adam’s case, had a completely different definition than
