The Bible refers tosuch behavior as carnal or beast-like (I Corinthians 3:1).Revelation’s BeastThe Apostle John had a vision (Revelation 13:1-2). He could havebeen standing on the sand or some rocks on a beach looking outto the sea. What was he looking at? He saw, rising out of the seaa hideous beast, which had seven heads and ten horns, with thename of “blasphemy” upon the heads. Blasphemy denotes deceptionand falsehood in claiming to be something it is not. Thisbeast “was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet ofa bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon[or Satan] gave him his power” (or authority to this beast). Theentire world worships this beast (Verses 3 and 4). This worshipby the world, which the world has given power to the beast, lastsfor three and a half years (Revelation 13:5). Revelation 17:9-18 states hewho has wisdom can know the seven heads are seven mountainsor governments. The ten horns are ten kings or world rulers inthe future, which shall make war against Christ when He comes.The beast coming from the waters or the sea represents peoples,nations and languages – a worldwide system.
