It is impossible for people to keep TheLetter of The Law because there is no Levitical Priesthood or templecourt to enforce them. When the temple was destroyed in 70A.D., it was the end of The Letter of The Law, with no courthouseto enforce it. Now, The Letter merely tells carnal, unconvertedpeople how to live a decent good life on earth. Many nations havecopied some of these Laws for their own civil societies.In The Old Testament, Pharaoh, himself, understood the penaltiesof adultery. Abimelech, also, knew about adultery. The Hammarabicode covered many of the commandments. The ancientSummerian civilization, The Akkadians, Babylonians and Egyptiansknew the commandments. God’s Laws were known sinceAdam and Eve. Seth’s generations passed on God’s Laws. EvenCain spread God’s Laws, but they had a reprobate (carnal) mind(Romans 1). However, since Adam and Eve did not choose TheTree of Life (God’s Holy Spirit), these Laws could only showhow to live a decent life. No sin was imputed (Romans 5). Thisis why Adam’s sin was called an offense and not a transgression.Until The Covenant with Israel, The Law was not a legal requirement(Romans 5).
