Also by using a third party (the group of friends) in thescenarios the participants could detach themselves from the immediatesituation and reflect on how others would react, rather than immediatelyconsider how they themselves would act in the scenarios. Once participantshad reflected on how the anonymous group of friends would think andreact, the evaluation team asked participants how they themselves and theirgroup of friends would act in each of the scenarios <strong>to</strong> gather personalreflective perceptions.3.45 This type of evaluation method provides an alternative and creative way ofengaging with younger project participants in particular. The s<strong>to</strong>ry-tellingand role play element allows them <strong>to</strong> link back <strong>to</strong> their own experiences andreflections without consciously thinking about it.3.46 Challenges: As with the mood boards it is important once again that detailednotice is taken of the direction the activity is going in. It is also crucial thatthe facilita<strong>to</strong>r ensures that participants understand the questions and reflec<strong>to</strong>n their own impressions as well as those they perceive other people have.48
