2 Sep 05 The 507 th <strong>Air</strong> Refueling Wing (ARW) (Tinker AFB, OK) maintained one<br />

crew on alert, a C-29, which flew a 2.2 hour Federal Aviation<br />

Administration (FAA) mission – a positioning leg from Oklahoma City,<br />

OK, <strong>to</strong> Ft. Lauderdale, FL, <strong>to</strong> pick up a 5-member Department of<br />

Transportation (DOT) security team. 54<br />

2 Sep 05 HQ AFRC Aeromedical Evacuation Branch had 23+ aeromedical<br />

evacuation crews staged at Lackland AFB, TX, by 2300Z for round-theclock<br />

patient movement. 55<br />

2 Sep 05 HQ AFRC Financial Management’s (FM) Plans and Program Branch<br />

sought volunteers within the FM community <strong>to</strong> establish a virtual finance<br />

office at Dobbins ARB, GA, <strong>to</strong> support the 403 rd WG, Keesler AFB, MS.<br />

Additionally, the call went out <strong>to</strong> duplicate the initiative this time at<br />

Carswell ARS, TX, in order <strong>to</strong> provide financial management support for<br />

the 926 th FW at New Orleans, LA. 56<br />

2 Sep 05 The 94 th <strong>Air</strong>lift Wing Commander (Dobbins ARB, GA) requested Critical<br />

Stress Management members <strong>to</strong> support relief efforts at Dobbins. The<br />

710 th Medical Squadron (Offutt AFB, NE) provided volunteers. 57<br />

2–9 Sep 05 A <strong>to</strong>tal of 16 medical personnel from the 433 rd Aeromedical Staging<br />

Squadron (ASTS)(Lackland AFB, TX) helped support a 24 hour, 7 days-aweek<br />

operation with the active duty’s 59 th Aeromedical Staging Flight at<br />

Lackland AFB and Kelly Field, TX. 433 rd personnel provided care and<br />

ground transport between treatment facilities for hurricane evacuees. 58<br />

3 Sep 05 The 507 th ARW (Tinker AFB, OK) had one crew on alert for a C-29. An<br />

FAA and active duty associate crew flew 2 FAA missions of 1.3 and 1.0<br />

hours’ duration. They transported 5 passengers, a 5 member DOT security<br />

team, and 300 pounds cargo, from Ft. Lauderdale, FL, <strong>to</strong> Ba<strong>to</strong>n Rouge,<br />

LA, and returned <strong>to</strong> base at Oklahoma City, OK. 59<br />
